    Obiettivi formativi

    Aiutare gli studenti a raggiungere una competenza linguistica in Inglese di livello B2/C1 in Inglese, secondo la Common
    European Framework of Reference for Languages attraverso un approccio funzionale comunicativo.

    Prerequisiti

    Prerequisiti Minimi: Conoscenza dell'Inglese a livello A2 per le abilità audio-orali e B1 per la lettura e comprensione.

    Metodologie didattiche

    Attraverso un approccio funzionale/comunicativo e CALL (Computer-assisted language learning), si promuoveranno attività comunicative circolari (listening- watching, reading-speaking, composing/writing), e si procederà dall'utilizzo sia di websites didattici e divulgativi sia di articoli di riviste scientifiche, preferibilmente proposti dagli studenti e/o concordati con i docenti di altre discipline (Content Based Language Learning). L’ambiente didattico multimediale faciliterà lo sviluppo delle abilità audio-orali e l’organizzazione di esercitazioni individuali e di gruppo, volte anche a facilitare l’acquisizione di multimedia literacies, e delle abilità di presentazione di contenuti/informazioni scientifiche, e di negoziazione. Secondo disponibilità di risorse umane, le attività didattiche saranno integrate da esercitazioni guidate da un CEL.

    Metodi di valutazione

    Le competenze acquisite dagli studenti saranno verificate oralmente attraverso:
    1. lettura, traduzione orale, riassunto, discussione di un articolo scientifico(v. programma esteso) . Per il riassunto scritto, si possono utilizzare suggerimenti dai websites: http://learningcentre.usyd.edu.au/clearer_writing/ ;
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish/ ;

    2. lettura ad alta voce, traduzione, conversazione su alcune (a scelta dell'insegnante) delle 8 Lezioni (obbligatorie) di ascolto e comprensione dal sito: http://breakingnewsenglish.com/listening.html (inclusi gli esercizi ‘Dictation’ e ‘20 Questions’). Stampare la versione scaricabile (downloadable) “Mini-lesson” per la discussione orale.
