    Course objectives

    This Course allows the student to understand the basic concepts of Dentistry. Specifically, the student will be able to:
    - know the anatomy and the physiology of the Teeth and supporting tissues
    - understand the etiology of decays and periodontal deseases
    - make the diagnosis of tooth decays and periodontal diseases.

    Prerequisites

    In previous years the student must have acquired a good study methodology and an adequate self-assessment capacity.

    Teaching methods

    The Course is organized with frontal classes supported by slides in English language and combined with practical training under tutoring.

    Evaluation methods

    Final Examination
    The Course has an oral final examination held by the
    Professors of the Integrated Course of Sense Organ Desease (G. Colella, R. Conforti, G. Motta, S. Rossi, D. Testa). The final vote is the mean of the votes given by the different Professors.
