    Obiettivi formativi

    Il Corso si propone di far acquisire agli studenti: le basi conoscitive per la diagnosi di morte e sua certificazione, metodologia di esame esterno, diagnosi differenziale tra lesioni contusive, da arma bianca e da arma da fuoco

    Prerequisiti

    Lo studente che accede al corso di Medicina Legale deve aver seguito i Corsi dei primi cinque anni e aver acquisito le nozioni propedeutiche di Anatomia, Fisiologia e Patologia generale. L'accesso all'esame è regolato dal superamento degli esami propedeutici, secondo quanto stabilito dal Consiglio di Corso di Laurea. Negli anni precedenti lo studente deve aver acquisito anche una buona metodologia di studio e un'adeguata capacità di autovalutazione.

    Metodi di valutazione

    La prova orale si prefigge di accertare l'apprendimento e la capacità di ragionamento sulle principali questioni medico legali che caratterizzano la professione sanitaria. 
    L’esame è atto a valutare la conoscenza degli argomenti dell'insegnamento ed anche lo spirito critico dello studente sviluppato a seguito del corso. Durante il corso è prevista una prova intercorso, basata su quiz a risposta multipla o su domande che richiedono una risposta breve. Tale prova costituisce solo una verifica dell'apprendimento in aula. La prova orale sarà valutata in trentesimi

    The learning goals of this Course include the knowledge of: Death Certification, Determination of Cause and Manner of Death, Crime scene and death investigation, Autopsy, Post-mortem changes and Time of Death. Sex abuse. Personal Identification and Skeletal remains. Sudden death and sudden infant death syndrome. Blunt Trauma and Craniocerebral injuries. Fire arm injuries. Sharp force injuries. Asphixial deaths and drowning.

    Course objectives

    After attending the lectures, students will understand how to assess the death, how to do an external examination of a cadaver differentiating between the main types of injuries due to blunt trauma, firearms, knife or sharp objects.

    Prerequisites

    In order to attend the course proficiently, the students will need to have a well- established background in Anatmoy, Physiology, Pathology, as specifically indicated by The Council of the Medicine and Surgery School as well as methology of study and self-evaluation

    Teaching methods

    Lectures supported by presentation of slides in Power Point. 
    Representative case studies and key topics will be also supported by discussion and critical reading of the most recent reviews in the field.

    Evaluation methods

    The oral exam covers all the aspects of bioethics. Aim of the oral exam is to judge the knowledge as well as the critical opinion on the topic that the students should develop after the course. 
    The student should be able to discuss on the topic and be able to connect and analyze the different subjects. Moreover, the student must have a deep knowledge of the basic principles of legal medicine.
    An intercourse test is planned to check the learning of students in the classroom. This consists in short general questions or a free space for suggestions. The final grade is expressed in 30/30 were 18 represents the minimum and 30 the maximum and it is established during the oral and/or written exam.
