    Lectures on chest diseases of surgical interest. Slides with text and figures will be used, with simultaneous film projection. One or more lessons will be devoted to the practical illustration of invasive therapeutic diagnostic procedures in Thoracic Surgery

    Course objectives

    The course aims to provide basic clinical knowledge on thoracic diseases of surgical interest. The course, therefore, is aimed at a training course at the end of which the student will be able to elaborate diagnostic-therapeutic pathways in patients suffering from thoracic surgical diseases.

    Prerequisites

    Passing the preparatory exams as decided by the Consiglio di Corso di Laurea.

    Teaching methods

    Three lectures during an hour and a half with compulsory course attendance. Attendance is recorded using a badge. The minimum attendance percentage allowing to take the exam is 75%.

    Evaluation methods

    The exam is oral. The student must demonstrate sufficient learning of each topic included in the exam program. In particular, the following will be evaluated: capacity for critical connections, ability to synthesise, quality of the organization and exposure of the speech, the use of specialized vocabulary, the ability to medical investigate, etc. It will be held with an interview divided into questions on the topics of the program, designed to ascertain the level of knowledge achieved by the student. The final grade will be in thirtieths and will result from the arithmetic average of the marks obtained in the two oral tests (Pneumology and Thoracic Surgery). The exam can be passed only if the minimum score of 18/30 is obtained in both oral tests.
