| Contents | -During the Integrated Course, the morphological and functional changes underlying alterations in biological balance (homeostasis), which form the basis of diseases, will be examined. In particular, the causes (etiology) responsible for various diseases, the mechanisms (pathogenesis) through which a disease develops and progresses, and the alterations in the normal functioning of different organs and systems affected by disease (pathophysiology) will be analyzed. |

| Course objectives | Alla fine del corso lo studente dovrà |
| Prerequisites | Basic knowledge of biochemistry, microbiology, physiology and general pathology |
| Teaching methods | fFrontal and interactive lessons with students. PDF files of the lecture slides will be shared with the students. | Assessment methods | The examination is conducted simultaneously with the assessment of the courses included in the Integrated Course (I.C.). The assessment is intended to verify the achievement of the educational objectives, in accordance with the expected learning outcomes and the Dublin Descriptors. The final grade, expressed on a scale of 30, reflects the overall level of mastery of the course content, ranging from excellent (30 with honors) to satisfactory (18/30). The final grade is determined collectively by the Examination Committee, which, taking into account the level of learning demonstrated across the different disciplinary areas and the weight of each course, formulates a single overall evaluation for the entire Integrated Course. The examination is considered passed with a minimum score of 18/30, corresponding to the acquisition of the required basic knowledge and competencies, as well as their application to simple contexts of clinical nursing practice. |
