    Practical - Evaluation Training (TPV)

    The Practical-Evaluation Training (Tirocinio Pratico-Valutativo, hereinafter, TPV) is aimed at obtaining the qualification to practice as a Medical-Surgeon (art. 3 D.M. May 9, 2018, n. 58; art. 102 D.L. March 17, 2020, n. 18; D.M.  April 2, 2020, n.8; art. 6, comma 2 of D.L. April 8, 2020, n. 22; DM April 9, 2020, n.12; Rector's Decree n. 296 of 23 April 2020). Specifically, the TPV is aimed at ascertaining the student's abilities related to knowing “how to do” and “how to be” a doctor. This consists in applying biomedical and clinical knowledge to medical practice, in resolving ethical issues, in demonstrating aptitude to solve clinical problems related to the areas of medicine and surgery and related specialties, laboratory and instrumental diagnostics and public health, and to apply the principles of good and clear communication. The TPV is organized in three months (5 CFU for each month) and is divided into the following periods, even non-consecutive: one month in the surgical area, one month in the medical area, one month in the general medicine area. The TPV takes place not before the fifth year of the course and after all the fundamental exams of first four years. The internship with General Practitioner Tutor can be carried out exclusively in the sixth year of the course. The TPV is governed by specific operating Regulations.
